We’re proud to share that myAgro has been recognized by the award-winning evaluation firm 60 Decibels as a top performer in two key impact indicators: Female Reach and First Access. This ranking places us in the top 20% of organizations evaluated in our region, demonstrating that myAgro is:
- Reaching women at scale through thoughtful marketing, enrollment, training, and package delivery that address women farmers’ unique needs.
- Delivering first-time access to high-quality agricultural products, services, and support for farmers who previously had none.
One of the key lessons we took away from this ranking is that when we design for women, everyone benefits.
myAgro has reached more women farmers by designing tools, training, and outreach with women’s lived experience and feedback at the center. From our strategic package composition to last-mile delivery logistics, our program is structured to help women overcome gender-driven barriers so they can leverage our services and grow their income. These same features make the program more accessible to all farmers, men and women alike – providing many with first-time access to agricultural services where previously they had none. In other words, a win for women is a win for all.
An amazing example of this impact in action are the stories of Nogoye Ngom and Doucour Sarr. Nogoye is a wife and mother of 13 from Thiadiaye, Senegal, and Doucour is a father of 8 from Saasak, Senegal. While their lives and responsibilities differ, myAgro’s program design helped to ensure both farmers had an affordable way to access inputs, climate-smart training, and mobile support that has not only helped them meet their families’ needs, but set them on an entrepreneurial path.
Nogoye has been involved in agriculture her entire life, but she struggled to achieve the financial stability and food security her family needed. When a myAgro Village Entrepreneur introduced the program in her community, she enrolled, eager to learn new agricultural practices.

“I’ve been farming my whole life, but myAgro taught me skills and knowledge I never had before. As a woman farmer, I can now store enough millet for my family and sell the extra at local markets. That money helps me pay my children’s school fees and invest in livestock. I buy lambs, raise them, and sell them, which has really boosted my household income. Now I can invest in other projects and I encourage other women to join myAgro.”
Today, Nogoye is a community leader who actively encourages other women to grow their farms with myAgro.
For Doucour, the biggest barrier to improving his harvests was access to affordable fertilizer. Despite years of farming experience, high market prices and limited public distribution meant he could not reliably purchase the fertilizer he needed, leaving his family vulnerable during the lean season. As Doucour explains: “Before myAgro, my harvest was not abundant. I had to borrow bags of millet to feed my family until the next season. Fertilizer was very expensive on the markets, and the state distributed only a small quantity.”
Through myAgro, Doucour gained affordable access to fertilizer and practical training on application and sowing time. Since enrolling, he has increased his peanut harvest by 60 percent – strengthening his family’s food security and creating a more stable source of income.
These individual stories reflect what 60 Decibels heard consistently from farmers across our programs. When farmers are provided with access to the right agricultural tools, training, and support, they are able to invest in their farms, support their families, and build more resilient livelihoods.
We are honored by this recognition from 60 Decibels and deeply grateful to the farmers, staff, partners, and supporters who make this work possible. Together, we are building pathways to lasting financial resilience and food security for farming families across West Africa.
