Launch

Launch!

After months of prep, farmer interviews, one-on-one and small group discussions, myAgro officially launched in three villages! Our launch included a village-wide meeting in each village for the head of households to learn about our program, pricing and to discuss how we could work together.

The feedback from farmers has been great so far. During the meeting, farmers had a chance to share their thoughts with us and their fellow villagers.  The farmers’ reactions have been twitter (and radio!) worthy:

“I never in my life thought we would have something so good. Every year I take credit, I use most of my harvest to repay. This way, I never advance. With myAgro, I can pay comfortably and I can see that I will advance.”

“This is the best model; if I had 500 CFA [$1 USD] I would ‘eat it’. If I buy a card instead, I can’t eat the card! I will rest easy that I am making my payments towards inputs for next year.”

“I’ve been waiting for  something like this! I wanted to buy hybrid seed last year but because I needed fertilizer, which I couldn’t afford during planting time, I went without. With myAgro I can save slowly when I have money to have a better harvest next year.”

We're ready too!
