Field Team

Sidy Lamine Coulibaly, Business Associate: Coulibaly has a strong background in agriculture, strengthening farmer associations and working with women’s vegetable groups. He previously worked at ENDA Tiers Monde, a non-profit environmental and development organization as a manager of a field team for the past 3 years. Before this, he was a field associate with ENDA and supported women’s agricultural activities in the Segou region. Couliblay has an agricultural engineering degree.



Dembele, JB, Business Associate: Dembele is an Agricultural Engineer with experience in many different agricultural sectors: pest management, water management and cotton cultivation. Dembele has worked with HELVETAS to help develop a mango certification process as well as helped developed a market strategy to sell organic and certified mangoes. Dembele has an Agriculture Engineering degree from the University of Algeria.



Mohamed Niantao, Business Associate: Mohamed has three years of agricultural experience working with GAE- SAHEL a non-profit organization that works with women farming groups, soil erosion and other agricultural activities. At GAE-SAHEL Mohamed supported 900 women farmers by providing technical trainings and field follow up. Mohamed as a technical degree in agriculture.



Mamadou Sidibe, Research Associate: Mohamed recently graduated from college with a technical degree in agriculture. For his internships, he’s worked with ICRISAT and IER (Mali’s Agricultural Government Office) to lead farmer demonstrations on the benefits of using better seeds and planting methods.






Casey Cline, Director of Finance: Casey is a former Kiva Fellow spending 2011 initiating, monitoring, and evaluating relationships with several microfinance partner organizations in Central America.   Prior to that, Casey worked in corporate finance and investment management for 17 years, most recently as a Vice President at Allen & Company LLC where he focused on business development and operations management.  Casey has a BA from Middlebury College in International Politics and Economics with a concentration in Latin American Studies and Spanish.


Anushka Ratnayake, Executive Director & Founder: Anushka Ratnayake, Founder & Director Anushka has worked in rural Africa since mid-2008, helping to increase market access for small scale farmers. Prior to starting myAgro, she developed key components of One Acre Fund’s core operation model, created management training programs and traveled across Africa and South Asia in search of innovations in the microfinance and agricultural sectors. Before joining One Acre Fund, Anushka was an early employee of Kiva.org and created the Kiva Fellows Program. Anushka received her BA in Literature from University of California, Santa Cruz and her agricultural training from small holder farmers in Bungoma, Kenya. Anushka is a 2011 – 2013 Rainer Arnhold Fellow.



Communications & Marketing

Jokebed Coulibaly, Communications Associate: Jokebed is responsible for interviewing farmers, representing our program to key partners and for providing translation as needed for the team. Jokebed is fluent in French, English and Bambara. She previously worked for the last three years as a translator for community-based organization and before that received her diploma in Faculty of Letters Languages Arts and Human Sciences from University of Bamako.






Aminata Kasse, Bookkeeper: Aminata recently graduated from college with a degree in marketing and law. She previously interned at BHM Bank as assistant to the Director of Marketing.




Khalifa Koné, Administrative Assistant: Koné recently graduated from college with a technical degree in management. He previously interned at a logistics company. He’s currently studying to get a bachelor’s in management.




Salia Sanago, Internal Auditor: Salia is in charge of completing field audits to ensure that all our SMS payments have been accounted for back at HQ. He’ll also support our finance team to do internal monthly audits and provide guidance and training when necessary. Salia has several years of experience as an accountant in various NGO’s and private businesses. Salia has a BA in Accounting.





Faso Kaba is a new and innovative seed producer and agro dealer in Mali.  In the last year, they produced and sold over 300 metric tons of certified seed. Our partnership enables myAgro farmers to have access to certified quality seed, grown and cultivated in Mali for the Mali environment.

One Acre Fund serves 50,000 farmers across East Africa. One Acre Fund has pioneered several innovations in working with small holder farmers including flexible repayment schedules, easy to follow technical trainings to improve harvests and a distribution model to tens of thousands of farmers that is scaleable and sustainable. Our partnership enables myAgro to learn from OAF’s trials and innovations as well as use OAF’s planting techniques in Mali.


Naomi Baer, Kiva.org  Naomi is the Senior Director of Kiva’s Global Partner Operations, overseeing the groups that provide training and operational support to Kiva’s Field Partners, including both field personnel and core volunteer programs. These include Kiva’s Field Support Specialist team, providing day-to-day operational support to Field Partners in their work with Kiva, the Kiva Fellows Program, placing volunteers in the field to support partners locally, and the Review and Translation Program, providing language support and content feedback. Naomi received her BA in American Civilizations from Brown University.

Kathryn Downing, Galileo Coaching Kathryn has over 30 years of experience as an executive in Fortune 250+ companies. As a business executive her focus was on leading the financial turnaround and cultural transformation of professional publishing companies including the Los Angeles Times as its Publisher, President and CEO.   In 2005 Kathryn co-founded a coaching and strategic planning business. Her executive coaching practice is with executives in  leadership in private and non profit companies, women executives and women in life transitions. Kathryn is the Chairperson of the Board  of The Women’s Foundation of California and also serves on the board of The Trusteeship, the Southern California chapter of the International Women’s Forum. She received her JD from Stanford Law School and a BA in economics from Lewis and Clark College.

Oumar Niangado PhD, Syngenta Foundation Oumar is Syngenta Foundation delegate in West Africa. Previously, he was Director of the Cinzana Research Station in Mali and later on he became the Director General of the Mali Institute of Rural Economy. He has been a member of CIRAD and of the Technical Advisory Committee of CGIAR, and numerous other scientific institutions. He is presently member of the Board of Trustees of the International Foundation for Science and of the Scientific and Technical Committee of CERAAS. He holds a PhD in Agriculture Science from Paris-Sud University, France.

Sid Wiesner, Touchtown, Inc. Sid is the Director of Product Development at Touchtown Inc., and the former Director of Technology at One Acre Fund. While living in rural Kenya for a year, he built and implemented a user friendly, effective and scaleable database that enabled One Acre Fund to manage its client and repayment information for tens of thousands of farmers. Sid received his BcS in Computer Science from West Virginia University.

Andrew Youn, One Acre Fund Andrew is the Senior Partner/Executive Director of One Acre Fund. He started One Acre Fund in 2006. Andrew graduated from Yale magna cum laude, is a former management consultant, and received his MBA from Kellogg School of Management. Andrew co-founded the program in Kenya with John Gachunga, and lives in Western Kenya.
