This week, the team in Thiès held a successful vendor training, attended by all 24 of the region’s vendors, focusing on upskilling them and introducing our new Mobile Vendor Specialist, Gora Diouf. This is a newly created role within the team, and has been designed to provide additional hands-on support to our village vendors. Gora will meet with each of them weekly and handles operational components of the program such as the money collection and card distribution, as well as the motivational aspects such as having regular goal setting meetings with vendors. Gora Diouf is very familiar with myAgro’s program as he has also worked with us as a Field Agent in Touba Toul.
As part of this week’s training, Vendor Handbooks were provided which include key information on processes, FAQ and a visual thermometer representing their village’s packet completion %, the total enrolled farmers and their weekly goals.
