Anushka Ratnayake, Founder & Executive Director
Anushka is the Founder and Executive Director of myAgro. She was an early employee at both One Acre Fund, where she served as the Director of Innovation and Core Programs, and Kiva.org, where she created the Kiva Fellows Program. Anushka has received recognition from Mulago Foundation, Echoing Green, Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, and The Tech Awards. She received her BA from UC Santa Cruz.
Anne Angsten, Senior Program Manager
Anne manages a variety of projects at the core of myAgro’s Mali operations, such as improving farmer enrollment practices, designing financial planning tools for our farmers, and running a program targeting farmer “leaders”. Before joining myAgro she was a consultant for McKinsey, serving clients in the public and private sector in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia, and previously worked on development and research projects in Senegal, Benin and Rwanda. She holds a MA in international relations and economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BA in economics and political science from Münster University, Germany.
Meredith Bell, Senior US Operations Manager
Meredith is responsible for recruitment, HR, and operations at myAgro. Prior to myAgro, Meredith led Net Impact’s webinar and conference programming, and managed community development projects in Zambia with the nonprofit FORGE. Meredith holds a BA in Peace & Conflict Studies from Stanford University.
Tamara Chao, Director of Development
Tamara is responsible for building myAgro’s development strategy and managing our donor relationships and future funding pipeline. Prior to joining myAgro, Tamara served as a political officer with the U.S. Department of State in Myanmar, and worked for Chemonics International to manage USAID-funded alternative agriculture and economic growth programs in Afghanistan and the Middle East. Tamara received an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, and a BA in International Relations from Tufts University.
JB Dembele, Regional Coordinator
JB manages myAgro’s Mali field coordinators and the execution of our Mali operations, with particular focus on ensuring myAgro reaches core program objectives, builds the next levels of leadership, and reduces bottenecks as we scale. JB was one of myAgro’s first field agents, and has experience in pest management, water management and cotton cultivation. JB holds a degree in Agriculture Engineering from the University of Algeria.
Aisha Kigongo, Database Manager
Aisha leads myAgro’s IT team and our database of farmers, vendors, and payments. She builds systems to support myAgro’s rapid growth, ensuring our data is accurate, high-quality, and readily available to key field team members. Previously, Aisha worked for Image Access and IBM. Aisha holds a Masters in Information Management & Systems from the University of California, Berkeley, and a double Bachelors of Science from Grambling State University.
Sila Kisoso, Special Projects Manager
Sila works closely with our Executive Director on strategic and operational projects in Mali that support myAgro’s long-term success. Prior to myAgro, Sila served in project management and research roles for Innovations for Poverty Action, FrontlineSMS, and Christian Horizons Global. Sila holds a BA from the University of Manitoba and a MA in Rural Planning & Development from the University of Guelph in Ontario.

Gowdin Oji, Director of Finance
Godwin Oji is in charge of myAgro’s Mali and Senegal finance and accounting activities. He has served in accounting roles in several UK-based nonprofits, and also worked as a new business consultant for MTN Mobile in Ivory Coast. He is an accredited accountant in the UK and received a BSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Wales.
Jane Ullman, Interim CFO
Jane has more than 25 years experience in finance, operations and investment banking. She has served as the CFO of multiple startups, and has helped raise more than $100 million from VCs, angels, lenders and lessors. Previously, Jane was an investment banker with the World Bank, and has worked for Dole Foods in Chile and for The North Face. She holds an MBA from Stanford and a BA in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt.
